- Does anyone know the syntax for including a PORT argument in the TRUMPTEL
- package?
-
- I've tried: ###.###.###.### port
- and: ###.###.###.### #port

- Chameleon is NOT freeware nor shareware nor anything else like that.
- It's VERY commercial. The list price of the basic Chameleon package
- is $400. They are not going to put it out there for the taking. If
- you can afford this, it's a good package. The street price is probably
- somewhere around $300. Check out Egghead Software. Better yet, call
- NetManage up and find out the next computer show they'll be attending
- near you. You might be able to get Chameleon for $99. And get a
- stuffed Gecko to boot!

-
- The latest WinVN does this nicely, and has threading too. I just switched
- and am very happy, though I haven't found a way to archive articles, yet.
- (It's probably in the doc's.) WinVN also lacks a mail reader, but a copy
- of Eudora which (almost) works under WinNT is headed my way.
-
- I used Trumpet for awhile, and liked it, but I missed the ability to handle
- binary files easily. No doubt Peter will continue to improve a very good
- product. Isn't it wonderful to be faced with such choices?
-
- The latest version of WinVN (you definitely want it!) is on
- 128.159.4.20/pub/win3/winvn/ in winvnstd???
- where the ??? is the version number. The 128.159.4.20 is titan.ksc.nasa.gov,
- but my DNS resolves the name incorrectly.

- There are at least two TCP/IP to DDE interfaces. One of them (the one I
- have info for) is NetDDE from Wonderware Software Development Corporation,
- 714-727-3200. I believe that Microsoft licensed their NetBIOS interface for
- the network DDE portion of Windows for Workgroups. I am only assuming that
- NetDDE would use WinSock, just because it is only a standard :).
